Ansel Adams

Ansel Adams was a famous photographer. In addition to his photography, he was also an environmentalist. His father always supported and encouraged him whereas his mother spent her time fretting about the fortune they'd lost. He had trouble in school both with friends, and the work. Much of his education was from his father and aunt tutoring him. Adams was very highly influenced by his deep love of nature and enjoyed spending his time amongst it. From the time he was twelve to the time he was twenty-four he lived a life full of music. He had a gift with the piano and had intended playing it to be his main occupation.Adams spent his summers at the LeConte Memorial Lodge and eventually met his wife there. He married Virginia Best is 1928 and they had two children. His first full visualized photograph, Monolith, the Face of the Half Dome was created in 1927.

I chose this picture because it shoes the intense detail of something that's not perfect. However, in the background you can see horizon, which looks absolutely gorgeous and right. It reminds me of life, because things might not be great now, but when you look into the distance it's all okay.

Panoramic Pictures

I like this panoramic picture because not only does it create the effect that the building are round, but it makes the cars look as if they are fanned out. Another thing I like about it is that they're are the cars parked across the street visible too. This makes it so the store fronts are the focus of the image but not the only thing in it, which adds interest.
I like that this picture is above the city, not within it. I like that you can see the separate streets as gaps between the rows of buildings. I also like that it show enough of the city that you can see how big the it is.

This is the story of a boy, a boy named Petey. Petey was abandoned at birth, all alone in life, almost. Petey had a dog, and that dog was his family. He kept the dog alive as much as the dog kept him alive.  Ron, that would be Ron Dog if we were speaking professionally, wanted Petey to grow up and go into his business. Ron needed help keeping the parks clear of garbage for all the other dogs. However, this isn't the story of Ron, it's the story of Petey. Petey most definitely did not what to be a trash boy. He had big dreams, the kind that carry you through all the hard times in life. Hard times were not new to Petey, so that dream was a big part of his life, slumming on the streets with Ron. What Petey wanted so desperately, Ron didn't believe in. Poor little Petey wanted to be a magician. And not just any magician, but a world renown magician like Harry Houdini. He wanted to make elephants disappear, cut hippos in half, and swallow porcupines. Petey was no where near achieving that dream though, for now he was stuck in school, magician school to be exact. Just don't tell Ron Dog, he wouldn't approve. In order to go to magician school, he worked at Dairy Queen, the one on the corner of Seventh Street that got all the business. Petey loved his school. It gave him such gratification to work for his own money, to pay for his own school, to further develop his hidden talent. He loved being able to spend his time serving people amazing ice cream and showing them awesome magic tricks! he knew that no matter how long it took him to get to the big time, he would enjoy every second of it! :D

Everday Heroes

At first glance, this is a simple photo. On the surface three firemen are seen trying to stop a tragedy. However, when taking a closer look, the true complexity comes out.  The illumination of the firemen by the truck they drove shows me their late work hours.  The man in the background with the hands on his head makes me think the situation is worse than a general fire. This picture makes me feel appreciative for the fire fighters of the world and makes my heart go out to any who may have been injured in this fire.
